Over the years, many organizations have gained experience with project management. Based on this experience, and the Logical Framework Analysis (LFA) which was developed in the 1970s and already widely used, the PCM method then emerged. This approach, consisting of a set of project design and management tools, has meanwhile been adopted by development organizations such as the EU, GTZ, DANIDA and others.
